As you can see, my love of cake started at a young age, but who doesn't love cake!? Now as much as I love to eat it, I love the challenge of turning it into something beautiful and unexpected. My life has always involved art in one form or another. My Mom was a painter. Growing up we always did creative projects together. We would spend hours making elaborate Christmas cookies and meticulously painting chocolate molds for Easter. In college, I studied Visual Merchandising and Interior Design. Although, I am still passionate about both, my main focus is cake. I think it is the greatest art form. I make each one with an artists' eye and an artists' obsession over the details. I am passionate about everyone I make. I love the smiles and excitement over the finished product. My love of eating cake has driven me to continually try new flavors. I am always working on a new recipe. Of course, all the sampling has also driven me to the gym and a new pant size!! But, you have to take the good with the bad!?
